On the Cover: The L29 soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr) line is the donor source of the soybean mosaic virus (SMV) resistance gene, designated as Rsv3, which confers resistance against SMV strains -G5, -G6 and -G7 of soybean mosaic virus. Pictured is L29 inoculated with strain -G3 causing a common susceptible mosaic symptom and severe leaf curl symptoms 28 days post inoculation, commonly seen in SMV-infected susceptible soybean lines and cultivars.
