Population structure in the CIMMYT maize lines (CMLs) and 21 individuals each from 23 maize landraces analyzed in this study by the program Structure and visualized with the program Distruct. Each vertical bar represents one individual or inbred line, which is partitioned into up to k colored segments, which represents the individual's estimated membership in each of the k clusters (k = 24 in this example). The CMLs were not constrained by cluster, nor were the control inbreds (called LP1 and TS1).
