Supplemental Figure 1 -
Supplemental Figure. Principal Coordinate Analysis based on 25 SSR markers scored on 23 maize landraces (filled squares), and 63 improved CIMMYT inbred lines derived from 15 of the OPVs (asterisks). The first two principal coordinates are shown in this biplot.
Supplemental Table 1 -
Supplementary Table 1. Description of germplasm studied. Landraces include 23 Mexican landraces, state where the landraces were collected, and altitude of the collection site (in meters above sea level). Improved Open Pollinated Varieties (also 23) from CIMMYT include population ID number, selection cycle, and a brief description. Inbred lines include 155 tropical, 73 subtropical, 22 tropical mid-altitude, 11 tropical highland, and 10 tropical lowland CIMMYT maize lines (CMLs), used in this study, the population from which they were selected, and the genetic group they are related to.
Supplemental Table 2 -
Supplementary Table 2. SSR markers used in the study. Repeat refers to the repeat unit of the simple sequence repeat; Bin indicates chromosomal location, PIC is the Polymorphism Information Content, and Ann. Temp. is the annealing temperature in degrees centigrade.
