For Fig. 3B, regression analysis was used to estimate best fit line (with r2 = 0.99) and the rate of water loss for each of the phenotypic class. Best fit equation for the bloomless class is: % water loss = (3.54) (x) + 10.15, and for the bloom class is: % water loss = (2.22) (x) + 9.1, where x = time of harvest.
