The F2 individuals with bloom are shown in solid black bars, and F2 bloomless individuals are represented by hatched bars. For Fig. 3B, regression analysis was used to estimate best fit line (with r2 = 0.99) and the rate of water loss for each of the phenotypic class. Best fit equation for the bloomless class is: % water loss = (3.54) (x) + 10.15, and for the bloom class is: % water loss = (2.22) (x) + 9.1, where x = time of harvest.
