Figure 4a shows the level of plant stunting on the conventional corn hybrid (left three rows) compared to MON863 protected hybrids (right three rows). In Fig. 4b, the left root is a conventional corn hybrid and has been severely damaged while the root on the right side of the frame is protected by event MON863.
