DNA bands amplified from parents and nine DH progeny derived from a cross between the resistant wheat cultivar Veranopolis (containing the Stb2 gene for resistance to M. graminicola) and the susceptible parent RAC875-2 with microsatellite primer pair Xgwm389 shown in a 3% agarose gel. A 25-bp DNA ladder was used as a standard size marker. Resistant and susceptible progeny are indicated by R and S, respectively. The 125-bp DNA fragment amplified from the resistant parent Veranopolis and resistant lines is indicated by the arrow on the left.
