The cultivars Mesilla (Mesilla-O) and CUF 101 (CUF 101-O) underwent three cycles of selection for greater (-L1, -L2, and -L3) or less (-H1, -H2, and -H3) fall dormancy. The cultivars Norseman, Saranac, Lahontan, and Wadi Qurayat were included to represent the range in fall dormancy found in alfalfa. Data were averaged across 2 yr. The least significant difference (LSD, P = 0.05) is provided.
