To test for differences among cultivars in the responsiveness of seed yield to elevated CO₂, the ratio of the mean value at elevated (E) to that at ambient CO₂ (A) for a given experimental run was calculated. Variation among cultivars in this ratio was tested using one way ANOVA, with three replicates. The mean seed yield response of Mandarin was significantly (P = 0.05) higher than the other cultivars.
