Figure 1. Molecular markers associated with resistance to the root rot complex as measured by plant vigor and plant stand percent under root rot stress on the Eagle x Puebla 152 recombinant inbred line (RIL) population, Hancock, WI, 2001 to 2003. Association of these regions with quantitative trait loci (QTL) for undesirable traits for snap beans (black seed coat color and late flowering) is depicted. Black segments on linkage groups represent QTL regions, boldfaced italics are Puebla 152 marker alleles, and alleles with normal font are inherited from Eagle. AD9.950 and S18.1500 (underlined) cosegregate on linkage group 6 and are tightly associated with resistance and susceptibility to the root rot complex, respectively.
