Fig. 1. Genetic linkage map of diploid Paspalum notatum. Linkage groups were constructed by using the computer program JoinMap1.4 (Stam 1993). Marker's names are listed on the right of the linkage groups. Markers segregating from both parental genotypes are indicated between brackets. The number of the homeologous rice (R) or maize (M) chromosomes where the markers map to are indicated between parentheses. Asterisks indicate markers showing distorted segregation ratios. Markers in capital letters were located by using LOD scores 4.0 (##) and 3.0 (#), markers in lower case were assigned to the linkage groups at LOD = 2.0. Map distances are expressed in Kosambi cM, on the left.
