Concentrations of initial bale moisture are represented as follows: heavy solid line, 325 g kg-1; dashed line, 248 g kg-1; and light solid line, 178 g kg-1. Bale density had no effect on measured indices of spontaneous heating (P > 0.05); therefore, temperature vs. time curves represent the mean of high and medium density baling treatments
