Starch gel electrophoresis was used to examine the heterogeneity of peroxidases in various organs of the germinating seed of soybeans. Isoperoxidase banding patterns were compared in four varieties. Each of the organs examined had a characteristic banding pattern. Differences in banding pattern were greater from organ to organ within varieties than differences between varieties, however, genotypic differences were detected for one cationic and four anionic bands.
