A chromosome, or a chromosomal segment, transferred from Gossypium davidsonii Kell., an American diploid taxon, to the glandless G. barbadense stock, 15-4, harbored the gland-determining allele, G1dav3, and the complementary lethal factor, Ledav. Linkage between the genes was estimated at 25.9 ± 3.0 recombination units.
