Terminology Pertaining to Photosynthesis1

Terms, recommended by the CSSA Committee on Crop Terminology, for the expression of photosynthetic energy and photosynthetic capacity are defined. These are: Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR), Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD), Photosynthetic Irradiance (PI), Apparent Photosynthesis (AP), and CO2-Exchange Rate (CER).
