Thirty source of cytoplasmic male sterile (cms) corn (Zea mays L.) were evaluated for their disease reaction to H. maydis race T. Plants with cms-B, -C, -CA, -D, -EK, -F, -G, .H, -I, -IA, "J, -K, -L, -M, -ME, -ML, -MY, -PS, -R, -RB, -S, -SD, -TA, -VG, and -W designations were resistant. Four sources, cms-HA, -P, -Q, and -T, were susceptible. Differences in disease reaction were observed on seedlings in the form of lesion type and on field-grown adult plants in the form of lesion type and lesion number.
