The effects of different rooting inedia, hormone treatments, and rooting techniques in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) were investigated. Cuttings from cotton plants rooted readily in several different rooting media under intermittent mist with or without rooting hormones.
A plastic bag technique is described which permits rooted cuttings to remain alive for at least one year without any care except to avoid excessive heat or cold.
