Martin G. Weiss2

Genetic linkage between the soybean loci P1, p1 (glabrousness, pubescence), and R, rm, r (black, black concentric striping, brown seed coat color) was verified in Linkage Group II and the combined recombination value was 20.9 ± 2.4%. Linkage intensity between the loci G, g (green, yellow seed coat color) and D1, d1, (one of two duplicate factors conditioning yellow, green cotyledon color) in Linkage Group III was determined to be 4.2 ± 0.6%.

Key Words: Recombination value • Linkage intensity • Glabrousness • Pubescence • Seed coat color • Cotyledon color • Glycine max
