The letters T and X after the accessions refer to the presence or absence, respectively, or to a 241-bp chloroplast DNA deletion generally characteristic of germplasm from lowland south-central Chile (Kawagoe and Kikuta, 1991; Hosaka, 2002, 2003), in contrast to germplasm from higher elevations in the Andes from western Venezuela to northern Argentina.
